What does BAG mean for surface areas?

The BAG Act, the Key Register of Addresses and Buildings, regulates the registration and management of addresses and buildings in the Netherlands.

Under the BAG Act, the surface area of a building is recorded as one of the key data points. This refers to the usable floor area, which is measured according to the NEN 2580 standard. This is important for matters such as WOZ calculations, rental prices and spatial planning.

See the BAG Practical Manual for more information.

The surface areas shown are indicative. No rights can be derived from the displayed surface area.
