Property Tax Debate Defered until June 2007
May 3rd, 2007 9:54 AM

Florida is on the hot seat to set the precedence for the rest of the nation when they finally decide on what's going to happen to the tax law.

They decided it was best to return for a 10-day session after realizing the difficulty of accurately analyzing a complicated package of tax changes, then drafting a bill and a constitutional amendment without any mistakes.

It is obvious, our legislatures are not all on the same page. Please tell your representative how you feel about this bill on tax reform.

Choice one; Have everyone pay additional sales tax, including the people that don't have property. Although the House agreed not to pursue a sales tax increase.

Choice two; Freeze property taxes to 2003 prices, etc.

Once this is resolved, hopefully in June 2007, this will change the whole real estate market. People will start investing in the predictable market.
